My first Substack Post
"Hello there."
This is my first Substack post and I’m giving it a whirl for publishing my novel ‘Sherlock Holmes: No Man’s Land’ with a new prose and new audio chapter month to month. They say to do the thing that most scares you and for me this is one of them. I also realized this past year that to be a professional prose writer that I didn’t need to be at a Stephen King level and that I probably could write a chapter a month and charge for it and try to make $2,000 a month in order to write full-time and to cover the bills. I’m doing this on Kickstarter, Substack and Patreon. After reading a book called ‘Ikigai’ by Ken Mogi, I decided to follow his advice and to just start small.
So here is to small starts and building bit by bit. This next month I’ll figure out how to import my email lists into Substack and how to create a paid monthly subscription for each new chapter.
